Choosing a Reliable VPN for Enhanced Privacy and Port Forwarding Needs
In today’s digital landscape, maintaining online privacy is more important than ever, especially for users operating in regions with stringent surveillance and restrictions. Recently, I decided to discontinue my use of Proton VPN after learning of their compromises in privacy—specifically, reports indicating that the service had cooperated with law enforcement agencies on two occasions. This raised concerns about their commitment to user confidentiality.
Living in the UK, where authorities and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) tend to have strict policies, safeguarding my online activities is a priority. The concerns about jeopardizing privacy, particularly in scenarios that involve activities such as content sharing or other legitimate uses that may be scrutinized, make it essential for me to seek a VPN provider that prioritizes user confidentiality.
Additionally, I require a VPN service that offers port forwarding capabilities. This feature is crucial for my specific use cases, such as remote access, gaming, or hosting servers, where direct inbound connections are necessary.
If you have recommendations for VPN providers that meet these criteria—robust privacy policies, proven no-logs stance, and support for port forwarding—I would appreciate your insights. Your experiences and suggestions could help me find a trustworthy alternative that aligns with my privacy needs and technical requirements.
Thank you in advance for your guidance.
